MCSE Server 2003: 2KO offers specialised MCSE Training in Cape
Town which is open for students from across the globe - e.g.
China. Some of our students travel from China to do our
training. Our MCSE training is Microsoft authorised and has a
high rate of success leading to good secure job prospects. Our
MCSE course is aimed at preparing students for managing a
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 environment and having hands on
skills to do the job. In addition we are aware that most
students wish to continue on to do the International exams and
we prepare students for those exams as far as possible.
We have two training methods for the MCSE -
classroom training (instructor led) and also online learning (via
the internet). Both options are available all year round.

To pass MCSE you need:
Four core networking system exams:
MCSE 70-290 Windows Server 2003 Administration
MCSE 70-291 Windows Server 2003 Network Management
MCSE 70-293 Windows Server 2003 Network Planning
MCSE 70-294 Windows Server 2003 Active Directory
One Client Operating System
exam:
MCSE 70-270 Windows XP Professional OR MCSE
70-210 Windows 2000 Professional
One Design exam:
70-297 Windows Server 2003 Infrastructure OR 70-298
Windows Server 2003 Security
Note that the above exams can both be
taken, one as a design exam and one as an elective.
One Elective Exam:

OR 70- 228 SQL Server 2000
Admin OR 70-299 Server 2003 Security Admin
OR 70-284 Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 OR 70-229

How our Courses Work
|
Instructor Led (Classroom training) |
Online Training (via the Internet) |
-
A new class start every 5
or 6 weeks at our Cape Town centre
-
The classes start at 08h45
and end daily at 15h30
-
The course runs for 4
weeks, Monday to Friday.
-
Exams can be taken at any
time during this three week period or after training
ends. We recommend the following with reference to exams
do not
take the first exam (290) until you have done the
course for 291
make sure you get plenty of practice before taking exams
-
2KO is an authorised
Prometric test centre for Microsoft exams
-
Each person has his or her
own computer
-
Classes are practical and
theory mixed
-
The content of the course
is aimed at covering everything you need to know to pass
the exams
-
Class size is small
-
We cover the four core
modules in class, which will prepare you to take the
four core exams, as well as XP, and the 2 design exams.

You have 12 months to complete your MCSE training course
with us. The course can be split any way you like so long as
you complete the modules in 12 months.
|
-
You essentially purchase
the rights to the international training software for 12
months. This means that we send you private login
account information (username and password) which
enables you to access any courses in your profile.
Students who purchase bundles will see as many as 40 or
50 courses listed under their name.
-
In order to study your
course material, you need to login while connected to
the internet.
-
Once you have logged in,
your course will follow logically from one screen to the
next, requiring you to interact and click and perform
various simple operations. Each time you complete a
section (module) of the course, it will be marked as
complete and often there are mini quizzes to see how
much you have remembered. If you pass every mini quiz in
your course, you can print out a certificate of mastery.
-
You can also print your
course notes out as you go along so you can learn while
not connected to the internet.
-
Once you have completed
your course, you can take the international exam.
-
Your password and username
are valid for one year so you can study as quickly or as
slowly as you like. If you go quickly one course (eg XP)
will take about 30 or 40 hours. Assuming you work hard
and spend 10 hours a week studying, you can complete the
course in 3 weeks or even sooner.
-
You do not require books
or software or anything else.
To get your username and password, you need to pay in
advance.
